Use for

Spodoptera frugiperda(Fall armyworm)

How it works

When the formulated SfMNPV products is applied to crops and ingested by Spodoptera frugiperda(fall armyworm) larvae, virions are released within the insect body and undergo extensive replication. The virus then infects systemically while rapidly consuming host tissues. Following infection, affected fall armyworm larvae gradually become sluggish and exhibit sublethal symptoms before dying. Upon death, their internal organs and tissues become fully liquefied, and the larval bodies rupture. Furthermore, the virus released from infected larval cadavers will spread the virus horizontally among field pupulations and persist across successive generations of fall armyworm, achieving sustained, long-term suppression of pest population in the field.
