Use for

Helicoverpa/Heliothis spp.

How it works

When the formulated HearNPV products is applied to crops and ingested by Helicoverpa/Heliothis spp larvae, virions are released within the insect body and undergo extensive replication. The virus then infects systemically while rapidly consuming host tissues. Following infection, affected Helicoverpa/Heliothis spp larvae gradually become sluggish and exhibit sublethal symptoms before dying. Upon death, their internal organs and tissues become fully liquefied, and the larval bodies rupture. Furthermore, the virus released from infected larval cadavers will spread the virus horizontally among field pupulations and persist across successive generations of Helicoverpa spp, achieving sustained, long-term suppression of pest population in the field.
